Abstract:
To provide a deinking agent, a processing apparatus, a sheet manufacturing apparatus, a processing method, and a sheet manufacturing method capable of efficiently removing foreign substances when the fiber-containing material contains the foreign substances.SOLUTION: The deinking agent of the present invention is a deinking agent supplied to a fiber-containing material during or after disentanglement containing cellulose fibers, which comprises a substance having at least one of a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group on the surface. The deinking agent preferably has a function of adsorbing foreign substances contained in the fiber-containing material from the cellulose fibers by electrostatic interaction. The substance is preferably a polymeric material. The polymeric material preferably comprises a carboxymethylcellulose salt.SELECTED DRAWING: None
