Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal deinterlace apparatus in which a video image of an interlaced scanning system is converted into a video image of a sequential scanning system.
SOLUTION: The present invention comprises an in-field pixel processing means for detecting a surface region and data to be interpolated within a field, a motion value generating means for detecting first and second motion values and first and second motion extent values, a history control means for detecting a history value, a quick video processing means for detecting a quickly moving video image, a film video processing means for detecting a film video image and a subtitle region and determining field data to be interpolated, a still picture processing means for detecting a still picture, an inter-field noise video processing means for detecting a noise video image between adjacent fields, a motion boundary maintaining video processing means for detecting a motion boundary maintaining video image, and a synthesizing means for selectively interpolating data to be interpolated within a field and inter-field data preceding to the current field by one or three fields.
