PURPOSE: To aim at highly accurate constant tension operation at the time of sheet material delivering, by using a two-phase squirrel-cage induction motor over both motor and brake areas.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of a steady operation state, since contacts R1 and R2 are open, a torque desired value signal 23a of an adder 23 is also in the required braking torque (T). Accordingly, an adding point 11, an inverter 12, a two-phase squirrel cage induction motor M and this signal 23a are set to the desired value and a control system, making the two-phase squirrel-cage induction motor M a final control element, is formed there, whereby the motor M is controlled by the inverter 12 so as to generate the braking torque T at the brake area. At the time of machine stoppage, in order to give constant tension to yarn, braking torque Td is added in addition to the required braking torque T. A winding diameter signal 21a is inputted into a function generator 24, and thereby the corresponding braking torque Td is made so as to be generated as an inertia compensating signal 24a. Therefore, the torque desired value signal 23a grows larger than during the steady operation, and two-phase AC frequency is shifted to low.
