A demand forecasting system 1 comprises: a forecast result storage part 12 for storing demand forecast values for multiple geographical meshes forming a route; a reception part 13 for receiving an input of route information indicating the route; a mesh specification part 14 for specifying the multiple meshes forming the route indicated by the received route information; a forecasting part 15 for calculating a total forecast value in the route indicated by the received route information by reading out multiple demand forecast values corresponding to the specified multiple meshes from the forecast result storage part 12 and summing the read out multiple demand forecast values; and a transmission part 16 for outputting the calculated total forecast value.
