To provide a denim fabric for fall and winter seasons, having wet feeling and slime feeling, being light, having soft touch feeling and resiliency, having warmth-keeping properties, hygroscopicity and water absorptivity, and being excellent in wearing comfortability.
This denim fabric is obtained by using warp yarns constituted by a cotton yarn, and weft yarns in which 30 wt.% or more of a plied yarn containing 40 to 80 wt.% polyester filament yarn having an M-value for the degree of modified profile of its fiber cross-section of 1.3 to 5.0, and 15 to 60 wt.% mixed spun yarn of a viscose rayon-based fiber added and mixed with a natural protein with a polyacrylic fiber, or 1 to 7 wt.% polyurethane-based elastic fiber, is driven with respect to the whole amount, and at least the 40% or more of the weft yarn is exposed on the reverse side of the woven fabric.
