PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition having excellent adhesiveness and durability in a wet state, comprising a cellulose ether, a vinyl monomer, an organic peroxide and an aromatic amine to be stored separately from the organic peroxide and to be blended in use as main constituent components.
CONSTITUTION: The titled composition which comprises (A) a cellulose ether containing etherified hydroxyl groups of cellulose such as methyl cellulose, (B) a vinyl monomer such as methyl methacrylate, (C) an organic peroxide, especially benzoyl peroxide and (D) an aromatic amine or sulfinate, especially N,N-di(β-hydroxyethyl)-p-toluidine or sodium p-toluenesulfinate as main constituent components. The components C and D are separately stored and blended in use. The composition shows strong bond strength which has not been obtained by an existing technique as an adhesive between tooth tissue of organism and restorative dental materials and has durability for a long period even in a wet state in the oral cavity.
