Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a dental syringe with a built-in lighting system improved in durability to sterilizing treatment and the like while reducing the number of part items and attaining light weight and compactness so as to be improved in operability.
CONSTITUTION: When a lever 43 is operated, an electrode 63 is pressed through an electrical insulating spherical member 62. When the electrode 63 is pressed, a valve stem 44 energized by spring 64 is displaced to the right and brought into contact with a ball valve 45 to make a fluid line 46 conductive. The ball valve 45 is electrically conductive to an electrode 67 through a spring 65, a ball valve holder 66 and a tube 46a. The respective electrodes 63, 67 are connected to signal conductors 63a, 67a and inputted to a lighting control circuit 20. A detecting circuit 21 detects whether the valve stem 44 and the ball valve 45 are in contact by applying d.c. or a.c. voltage to the signal conductors 63a, 67a and judging the current value. According to the output from the detecting circuit 21, a driving circuit 22 lights a light source 13 so as to radiate illuminating light from the tip of a light guide.
