Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the deodorizing device for an electric incineration type toilet, etc., which is highly resistant to corrosion, is light in weight and robust in construction and is easy in mounting and handling.
CONSTITUTION: The deodorizing device 6 consisting of a sheathed heater 9 made of a spirally shaped titanium pipe and a catalyst part 11 formed by firing a platinum metal on a carrier consisting of a foamed metallic plate is installed to a discharge passage 5 connected to a dejecta receiving container. The malodorous gases discharged from this dejecta receiving container are heated by the sheathed heater 9 made of the titanium pipe and are discharged to the atm. after these gases are deodorized in the catalyst part 11. As a result, the corrosion resistance of the deodorizing device 6 is improved and the height thereof is reduced. The deodorizing device which is robust in construction and is easy in mounting and handling is thus obtd.
