Title:
DEODORIZING DEVICE FOR TOILET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01110334
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a deodorizing device for toilets which can be easily handled, by providing an electric circuit detecting malodors permeating a specific diaphragm covering a gas sensor and transmitting an output signal, and a ventilation fan driven by the output signal. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor type gas sensor 15 is fixed at the inside of the upper part of a toilet bowl 1 and covered with a diaphragm 16 composed of fluororesin or the like permeating only malodors, on the surface, so as not to get wet with flushing water jetting out of rim holes 7. When malodorous gas is given out, the gas sensor 15 responds immediately thereto and the electric resistance varies greatly in accordance with the concentration of the malodorous gas and the output signal of the electric circuit 17 varies greatly as well. Accordingly, when the concentration of malodorous gas increases, a large voltage acts on a ventilation fan 23 to drive it at a high speed and rapidly remove the malodors in the toilet. When the concentrate decreases, the output signal of the electric circuit 17 gets small and the ventilation fan 23 ceases to drive.
