To provide deodorizing moisture-conditioning wallpaper having excellent decorativeness and applicability and capable of creating a safe, comfortable, and hygienic building space for a long period.
This deodorizing moisture-conditioning wallpaper is made by coating one of surfaces of uncoated paper which retains air permeability and gas permeability with an artificial zeolite powder which has an average particle diameter of ≤50 μm, a specific surface area of at least 120 m2/g or more, and a base exchange capacity (meq/100g) of ≥200 mg, together with a water-soluble coating material which comprises a cellulose derivative, casein, gelatin, starch or polyvinyl alcohol, so as to form a deodorizing moisture-conditioning base paper having an artificial zeolite coated layer for which the artificial zeolite powder is coated in a coated weight ratio of ≥10g/m2, and printing the whole of the coated surface of the formed deodorizing moisture-conditioning base paper with suitable colors, designs, and patterns by inkjet printing or dot printing. Further, the deodorizing moisture-conditioning wallpaper may be made by subjecting the whole of the coated surface of the deodorizing humidity-controlling base paper to embossing finish, or to shrinking and cockling finish.
