Title:
DESCALING MEANS FOR HOT ROLLED STEEL SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3307771
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a descaling means by spraying pressurized water to hot rolled stock.
CONSTITUTION: Plural nozzle heads 20 mounted at a header extending across the width of the stock respectively have four jet nozzles 21 which are mounted at a rotatably driven ring. The pressurized water is sprayed from the nozzles under the pressure within a range of 1000 bar by regulating the number (r) of revolutions of the nozzle heads and the relative moving speed V of workpieces in such a manner that a desired average scale layer removal depth may be obtained. The spray axes of the nozzle are adjustable within a range of 0 to 30° with respect to the axes of rotation of the heads mounted to be made perpendicular to the workpieces. The at least two nozzles on the nozzle heads are arranged with the offsets from each other so as to have the spray patterns covering the respectively different radial areas.
