PURPOSE: To directly record the data on an inductive head without mechanical motive operation by beforehand shifting a reproducing on-track position of an information identification field to an inner peripheral side.

CONSTITUTION: Every track is constituted of a first servo signal field 1, a second servo signal field 2, the information identification fields 3-9 and data fields 14-16. A line where positional error signals obtained from the first, the second servo signal fields 1, 2 become minimum corresponds to the outermost peripheral cylinder (0), and passes through the just center of the cylinder (O) information identification field 9. The information identification data 9 of the cylinder (0) and the shift amount 18 of the data exist between with the center 20 of the data field of the cylinder (0), and the direction is formed shifted to the inner peripheral side viewing from the data field. In the cylinder (k) in the vicinity of the center, the shift exists between the data field 13 and the information identification field 13 also, and in the cylinder (n) in the vicinity of the inner periphery, the information identification field 3 and the data field 10 are constituted on one straight line.
