Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate the judgement of whether or not a liquid eraser applied turns dry.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid eraser S is a liq. mixture comprising a white pigment, a volatile solvent, a chemical substance with its pH value changeable through oxidation thereof in air, and a reagent which becomes colorless with a change in the pH value of the chemical substance. When the eraser S is applied to the surface of paper, the chemical substance is changed in pH value through oxidation thereof in air, while the color of the reagent is changed with a change in the pH value of the chemical substance to turn the color of the eraser S white substantially simultaneously with the completion of evaporation of the solvent.
