Abstract:
A method and apparatus for vending a hot food product wherein a sealed container (18) is moved from a protective sleeve (12) and deposited in an oven (70) where heat is transferred to the container (18) for initially melting a protective sealing film (27a) and then heating the food product (30). After the food product (30) has been heated, the container (18) is removed from the oven (70) and reinserted into the protective sleeve (12) prior to dispensing the heated food product (30).
