PURPOSE: To reduce cost by using a common tray both as a hand-insertion table and a paper discharge tray and attain space saving by using the common tray as the paper discharge tray at the non-use time of the hand-insertion paper supply part.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of side fences 8, 9 are provided on the hand-insertion table face 7a side of a common tray 7, and a rack 10 and a pinion 11 for widening/narrowing these side fences 8, 9 are provided thereunder. In the case of being used as a hand-insertion table, the common tray 7 is set to a hand- insertion paper supply part, with the hand-insertion table face 7a placed at the topside. In the case of being used as a paper discharge tray, the common tray 7 is set upside down to a paper discharge part. In the case of a paper discharge sensor being turned on at the time of setting the common tray 7 as the paper discharge tray, only automatic paper supply from a body paper supply part is made possible, and at the time of setting it as the hand-insertion table, a hand-insertion sensor is turned on, and only hand-insertion paper supply is made possible. The discharged paper at the time of hand-insertion paper supply is received by hand.
