Abstract:
To propose a design method of sound-insulating wall that can design the height and length of a sound-insulating wall for road by a simple method.SOLUTION: The present invention focuses attention on the fact that it is a good way to divide a road into an area having a sound-insulating wall and an area on both sides thereof not having a sound-insulating wall, and then examining noise effects from each of them. A first model representing effects relative to a conservation subject from noise sources located at respective divided areas is prepared by using an acoustic theory. A second model on contribution portions from the respective areas relative to noise level of the conservation subject is prepared corresponding to the first model. A first equation calculating the length of the sound-insulating wall is obtained from the first model. The first equation includes a noise reduction amount ΔL required by the conservation subject as a parameter. The reduction amount ΔL is defined from the second model with a difference between a present noise level B of the conservation subject and the contribution portions from the areas not having the noise wall. The length of the sound-insulating wall is obtained by substituting the reduction amount ΔL defined at the second model to the first equation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
