To provide a desk lamp in which an intensity of illumination at an irradiation surface can be increased without increasing brightness.
This invention is a desk lamp 1 that is comprised of an incidence plane 20 for injecting light from a plurality of lighting LEDs 15, a reflection plane 22 for reflecting light incident from this incidence plane 20 in a prescribed direction, a discharge part 23 for discharging light reflected at the reflection plane 22 and light guide means 18 for guiding light of the lighting LED 15 in a prescribed direction. The discharge part 23 is divided into a first area 24 and a second area 25 crossing at a right angle with an optical axis X of the lighting LED 15. These areas 24, 25 are integrally provided with a plurality of first and second projections 26 and 27 that are inclined in their longitudinal directions in respect to the optical axis X and at the same time the longitudinal directions of these projections 26 and 27 are inclined toward the center of the light guide means 18 as they are away from the lighting LED 15 to enable illumination intensity of the irradiation surface to be increased while restricting brightness of irradiation light.
