To provide a desk with a simple-structured elevator device capable of elevating a shelf inside the desk main body to the top of the desk easily by way of a wire and guide rollers by rotating an auxiliary top board downward to the lower part inside the desk main body.

An auxiliary top board 3 is mounted on the rear part of the top board of the main body of this desk, and the auxiliary top board 3 is rotatable at an angle of 90 degrees by way of guide grooves with a hinge shaft mounted on the auxiliary top board 3 as the fulcrum. A wire 16 is suspended between guide rollers, with both ends of the wire fixed to the desk main body, so that a shelf 4 can be elevated to the top of the desk main body by rotating the auxiliary top board 3 to be forced downward to the lower part inside the desk main body. Therefore, a stand for a device such as of an office automation system can be securely and easily moved up/down by the elevator device, which can be provided at a low cost.
