Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a fuel gas clear of a sulfur component to be supplied stably to fuel gas utilization equipment such as a fuel cell power generation system by providing a desulfurization method and desulfurization equipment which enable a hydrogenated desulfurization agent to be utilized stably over a long period with high activity in spite of a simple device configuration.SOLUTION: A fuel gas P containing a sulfur component is loaded with steam and made to sequentially pass through an anti-sulfur steam modification catalyst, being a steam modification catalyst 2b that performs modification reaction for producing hydrogen gas from the fuel gad P in the presence of steam, where at least a kind of noble metal component selected from among ruthenium, rhodium, and palladium as well as a catalyst metal component consisting mainly of platinum and iridium are carried by an inorganic oxide carrier, and a hydrogenated desulfurization agent 2a that removes a sulfur compound from the fuel gas containing the sulfur compound, thereby removing the sulfur compound in the fuel gas P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
