Abstract:
PURPOSE: To develop the desulfurizing agent for molten iron by using metal magnesium in its form as an essential component and to provide the desulfurizing method using this desulfurizing agent.
CONSTITUTION: This clesulfurizing agent consists, by weight %, of 5 to 50% metal magnesium, 20 to 80% calcium oxide and 5 to 30% metal aluminum and this desulfurizing method for the molten iron consists in blowing this clesulfurizing agent together with a carrier gas into the molten iron.
