To obtain a detachable adapter kit for diverting a conventional tire exchange device to a special run-flat tire exchange device.

This adapter kit is provided with a first separation element 4, a second bead breaker element, and a lever. The first separation element 4 can be fixed to a corresponding device 14 at a lower end of a conventional corresponding vertical tool 10a provided on a tire exchange device. The first separation element 4 is for separating a tire 2 from a wheel rim 3. The second bead breaker is provided with an auxiliary shoe abutting to a bead 2a of the tire 2 for pushing it and with means for connecting detachably to a conventional bead breaker shoe equipped on a tire exchange device. The lever can be functionally connected to means to be mounted on the wheel rim 3 for protecting it, and is used for extracting the bead 2a of the tire 2 locally from each flange on the wheel rim 3.
