The detachable handle structure is composed of a handle mounting part 2 projectingly attached to a vessel body 1 such as a pot and frying pan, and a handle body 7 which has fitting sections 5, 6 fittable by moving from the downside to the upside on right and left side sections 3, 4 in the handle mounting part 2 and can be connected so as to be capable of lifting the vessel body 1, and the handle body 7 is provided with a movement control means 8 which controls movement downward with respect to the handle mounting section 2 when the fitting sections 5, 6 in the handle body 7 are fitted to the right and left side sections 3, 4 in the handle mounting part 2. Each right and left side section 3, 4 is provided with a sloping portion 9, 10 sloping and facing inside so that the downside section in the handle mounting part 2 looks from the front to be a downward narrowing shape, and each fitting section 5, 6 in the handle body 7 is provided with a sloping fitting portion 11, 12 fittable to the sloping portion 9, 10, respectively.
