Abstract:
To provide a detecting device which can quickly detect and precisely display the fall of a person who is being observed.
The detecting device includes a photographing means for photographing the person being observed and for obtaining picture data, a detecting means for obtaining the motion vector of the person being observed by using picture data, a storage means which previously stores the fall vector of a person when the person being observed falls down, a decision means for comparing the motion vector with the fall vector and deciding whether the person being observed actually has fallen down or not, and a reporting means for reporting the fall of the person being observed to the outside.
