Abstract:
PURPOSE:To precisely measure the rolling roll displacement and gap by detecting the back pressure in a liquid injector when liquid such as air or water is blown from a liquid blowout tube to a rolling roll. CONSTITUTION:When the working liquid 19 with the constant pressure is supplied to the liquid blowout tube 10A, the liquid 19 is blown out of a blowout hole 11 to generate back pressure in the gap between a work roll 2 and the blowout hole 11. For the purpose, the rigidity of the blowout tube 10A is made high, a pressure sensor 15 fitted to the blowout tube 10A measures the back pressure and then the gap between the roll 2 and blowout hole 11 can be found from the previously found relation among the gap between an object and the blowout hole 11, the back pressure, and the supply pressure of the liquid 19. Further, when the blowout tube 10A is moved in the height direction by driving a height adjusting device 17 so that the back pressure in the gap between the roll 2 and blowout hole 11 becomes constant, the movement quantity of the roll 2 can be detected from the movement distance of the device 17.
