PURPOSE: To detect combustion at the tuyere top in a blast furnace correctly without influence of disarrangement occurred at the tuyere end so as to make blast furnace operation constant by measurement of depth of race way by means of irradiating micro waves to the race way region at tuyere top end in a blast furnace.
