Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the endurance and the electrical conduction of a detecting rod by using bricks of silicon carbide as the detecting rod for measuring a molten bath level.
CONSTITUTION: A metal is melted so that the liquid level of the molten metal is measured and the fixed level is always held in an industrial melting furnace. Since a SiC refractory is hard, strong and has electrical conduction, said SiC is used as the detecting rod 4.
