Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new recombinant DNA molecule used for the transfection of a tester cell useful for diagnosing HIV infection.
CONSTITUTION: A recombinant DNA molecule, e.g. pALCAT, comprises a HIV promoter selected from HIV-LTR and its portions each of which contains a tar side or its similar sequence capable of inducing the expression of a DNA sequence in the downstream in the presence of HIV-TAT, and a different kind of a DNA sequence (the DNA sequence exists under the control of the expression of the promotor) encoding an enzyme for catalyzing a reaction for emitting light. The exemplified recombinant DNA molecule is obtained by the figured method.
