To provide an apparatus, a method and a product for improving image detection and security, including matrix-based image formation and detection.SOLUTION: A method processes image data, generates one or more color spaces associated with the data, performs color space conversion based on the generated color space, generates an image based on the color space conversion, including but not limited to a matrix barcode, and applies ultraviolet rays and/or infrared-red layers to the image generated from the color space conversion, for example, the matrix barcode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5A
