To identify a therapeutic or preventive compound for neurodegeneration disease by bringing cells containing a reporter gene functionally combined with a cAMP regulatory gene or the like into contact with a compound proposed and then measuring the expression of the reporter gene.
By means of obtaining cells containing a reporter gene functionally combined with a cAMP regulatory gene or a promoter, bringing these cells into contact with a compound proposed and then measuring the expression of the above reporter gene, the diagnostic, therapeutic or crisis preventive compound for neurodegeneration disease is identified by the change of the expression of the above reporter gene caused by the reaction to the above compound proposed. Further, as the neurodegeneration disease which is a target of this compound, Perkinson disease, Huntington disease, amytrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, stroke or epilepia is illustrated.
