Abstract:
To provide a detector and a control device with which it is possible to continue detecting the rotational position of multiple turns even when electric power supply is discontinued.SOLUTION: A multiturn detection unit 45 is capable of continuing the detection of the rotational position of multiple turns of a steering shaft which is driven by a motor 80 without electric power supply from the outside. A count computation unit 55 computes multiturn position information pertaining to a multiturn position on the basis of the detected value of the multiturn detection unit 45. An angle computation unit 50 computes a rotation angle pertaining to the rotational position during one turn on the basis of the detected value of the position detection unit 40. The multiturn detection unit 45 is provided at a point different from the motor 80. Thus, it is possible to continue the detection of the rotational position of multiple turns even when electric power supply from the outside is discontinued.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
