Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of a spherical thrust bearing and an eccentric bearing due to the excess feeding or partial feeding of raw ore to a cone crusher.
CONSTITUTION: Line pressures of lube oil fed into plural oil jet holes A1-A5 of a spherical trust bearing 54 of a cone crusher 50 through lines each connected to the holes are detected by pressure sensors S1-S5, respectively. The maximum value or average value of all outputs showing the lube oil line pressure from each pressure sensor in a prescribed period of time is compared with the predetermined set value by an arithmetic judgement processor 10. Consequently, since it is detected that the cone crusher is operated in an operated in an overload state, a command or a warning for decreasing the feed quantity of the raw ore to the cone crusher is issued. And the fluctuated state of the lube oil line pressure for each oil jet hole of the spherical thrust bearing is analyzed to detect that the cone crusher is operated with the raw ore being partially fed.
