Abstract:
To speed up the response of a detector which includes an avalanche diode and detects charged particles or light without changing a structure of the avalanche diode which performs the rate controlling on the response of the detector.SOLUTION: An avalanche diode driving circuit includes a first capacitor C1 and a first resistor R1. Both the first capacitor C1 and the first resistor R1 are connected in series to the avalanche diode 220 and in parallel with each other. The capacitance of the first capacitor C1 is equal to or less than that of the avalanche diode 220 by ten times or less. The apparent capacitance of the avalanche diode 220 is reduced and the response of the entire detector including the avalanche diode driving circuit is accelerated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
