The subject detergent composition comprises an amide ether sulfosuccinate anionic surfactant (A) represented by formula (1) [wherein R1 is a 9-15C aliphatic hydrocarbon group or a 9-15C alicyclic hydrocarbon group; R2 is hydrogen atom or methyl group; A is at least one 2-3C alkylene group; (n) is an integer of 0 or 1-100 giving an average of 0.5-10; either one of Z1 and Z2 is hydrogen atom and the other is an SO3Q group; X is Q or an R1CONHCH2CH(R2)-(OA)n- group; and Q is hydrogen atom or a cation and Q's may be the same or different] and at least one additive (B) selected from the group consisting of a non-cellulosic cationic polymer (B1) and a silicone(B2).
