A developer container houses developer and includes a first opening for discharging the developer to the outside, a second opening formed on a side surface, and a shutter member capable of shielding the first opening. The shutter member includes a body part housed in the developer container, a projecting part projecting outward through the second opening, and a step part formed in a connection part between the body part and the projecting part. A sealing member is attached to the projecting part, a projection extending inward and facing the step part is provided on the second opening, and the sealing member is located between the step part and the projection and is brought into contact with the step part and the projection.
