PURPOSE: To prevent void and black stripes from being formed by adding granules of Si3N4 or TiN externally to a mixture of toner and carriers.
CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic developer consists of the mixture of the toner for developing an electrostatic charged image formed on a photosensitive body and carriers for carrying the toner and granules of Si3N4 or TiN is added externally to the mixture of the toner and carriers. Consequently, the surface of the photosensitive body is polished with the granules of Si3N4 or TiN to remove a deterioration part in the surface layer of the photosensitive body and also remove dirt sticking on the surface, so even when many copies are taken by an electrophotographic device, the generation of black stripes and void in a transfer image can be suppressed and the picture quality is improved.
