Abstract:
To provide a developer layer regulating member that can prevent the occurrence of distortion caused by processing and assembly steps and can accurately regulate the thickness of a developer layer.SOLUTION: A developer layer regulating member 30 is used for a developing device 5 of an image forming apparatus of a one-component developing system, and has a plate-like attachment part 31 that has a surface in contact with a part to be attached 52 of the developing device 5 and has a through hole 35 into which an attachment member is inserted; and a regulating part 32 that projects from the attachment part 31 and regulates a developer passing through between a developer carrier 51 of the developing device 5 and the regulating part at a leading end in a short direction being a free end. The attachment part 31 and the regulating part 32 are integrally formed of metal or resin without a boundary. The average thickness of the attachment part 31 is larger than the average thickness of the regulating part 32. In an aspect in which the attachment part and the regulating part are integrally formed of resin, metal plating processing is performed on the leading end in the short direction of the regulating part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
