To provide a developer spreading device which can be reduced in size even when two kinds of roller pairs are disposed and whose production cost can be reduced, and to provide a printer and an instant camera.
A conveyance roller pair 54 is disposed between an exposure head 51 to expose a self-developing type film unit 24 and a spread roller pair 55 which tears a developer pod 43 of the film unit 24 and spreads a developer 46 into the film unit. A capstan roller 80 constituting the conveyance roller pair 54 is composed of a pair of first roller bodies 83 and a first rotation shaft 84. A pinch roller 81 is composed of a pair of second roller main bodies which holds the both side edges of the film unit 24 in a gap between the second roller main body and the first roller main body 83, a second rotation shaft 87 and a spread control roller 88. Upon spreading the developer, the spread control roller 88 is brought into contact with the positive image forming surface 49 of the film unit 24. The pinch roller 81 is made to function as a spread control member.
