PURPOSE: To allow the efficient use of a developer up to the last by providing a recessed part on the inner peripheral surface on one end side of a developer housing body formed with spiral grooves for transporting the developer on the inner peripheral surface so as to project to the outer peripheral side and using this recessed part as a release port.

CONSTITUTION: The cylindrical housing body 2 contg. the developer 4 is rotated to transport the developer 4 along the spiral grooves 3 provided on the inner peripheral surface of the housing body 1 to one side of the housing body 1 and this developer 4 is guided to the recessed part point 6 provided on the inner peripheral surface on one end side of the housing body 1 so as to project to the outer peripheral side. The developer is released from the release port 2 formed at this point. Even if the developer 4 is introduced to the position slightly apart from the release port 2, this developer 4 is introduced into the recessed part point 5 and is eventually released therefrom in this way. The amt. of the developer 4 released from the release port does not change even if the amt. of the developer 4 remaining in the housing body 1 decreases. The permanent remaining of the developer 4 in the housing body 1 is obviated as well.
