PURPOSE: To provide a transportat device for transferring developer from a low level container to a development station with a rotating spiral spring provided in a transportat tube.

CONSTITUTION: The transportat tube 10 has an in-flow hole 21 at a place near the lowermost part of the container 1. Blades 23 and 24 rotate around the in-flow hole 21 provided with an in-flow blade 22 with the spiral spring 13, and developer is transported upward even if developer is in a low position in the tube. A low level detection element 32 is connected to the rotary blades 23 and 24 for preventing a transportat pipe from becoming empty and preventing influence to the pipeline, which is generated from the lack of developer in the container.
