PURPOSE: To enhance storage stability and image quality by incorporating the condensate of nitrobenzene or its deriv. and anilin or its deriv. contg. in ≤30vol %, particles having a specified diameter as a volume average particle diameter in coal tar counter measurement.
CONSTITUTION: Condensate of nitrobenzene or its deriv. and aniline or its deriv. contains, in ≤30vol%, particles having a volume average particle diameter of 12.0W10.0μm, preferably, almost 9.0μm in the coal tar measurement using 100μm aperture. The condensate of such nitrobenzene or its derivative, and aniline or its deriv. is incorporated. As the condensate to be used, a known nigrosine type dye having a regulated particle diameter distribution subjected to acid, base or resin treatment may be used. As the binder resin of the toner, the homopolymer, etc. of styrene or its derivs. may be used. The developer using the condensate of said nitrobenzene and aniline or their derivs. as the positive electrostatic charge controller of a dry type developing toner can obtain a stable image high in quality.
