To provide a developing device and an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the depletion of developer at the downstream part of a supplying conveyer member and the overflowing of the developer at the downstream part of a collecting conveyer member and making a difference of the balance of the developer on the supplying conveyer member and on the collecting conveyer member small, and solving a problem without making the revolving speed of the conveyer member high nor the diameter of the conveyer member large.
In the developing device 5 and the image forming apparatus 100, there is at least one spot at which the conveying direction of the developer by the supplying conveyer member 206 reverses within a range where the developer is directly delivered to a developer carrier 205 on the supplying conveying member 206.
