To provide a developing device which uses a developing pattern, formed on a magnetic recording rotator, as a plate, so that a stable image quality is obtained.

A magnetic write head 2 has a coil of a pixel unit, and magnetizes the surface of a magnetic recording roller 1 by passing an electric current through each coil to generate a leakage magnetic flux from a tip part of a magnetic pole of the magnetic write head 2. Therefore, as the magnetic recording roller 1 rotates along the rotary direction, a magnetic latent image is formed on the surface of the magnetic recording roller 1. A magnetic particle supplying roller 3a contacts with a magnetic particle in a magnetic particle holding part 3b, so that the magnetic particle is adhered as a layer on the surface of the magnetic particle supplying roller 3a. A material which is capable of adhering the magnetic particle to the surface, is supported on an intermediate transfer roller 6.
