In the developing device, when photosensitive paper exposed according to image information is developed under conveyance to a processing tank and a drying section by a driving motor, since temperature control of the processing tank and temperature control of the drying section are completed when starting the device and the driving motor is driven after the drying section is made temperature condition to dry photosensitive paper, even when the photosensitive material remains in the device, jamming of the photosensitive paper in the drying section can be prevented.
