Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always keep feeding of a toner from a feeding roll to a developing roll constant regardless of any variation in resistance value of the developing roll when developing is carried out utilizing the one component toner.
SOLUTION: In this device where developing is carried out by having a toner that is made a constant toner layer thickness by a restricting blade 43 fed to the developing roll 41 for a photoreceptor 1, developing bias voltage (Va) to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor 1 is fed to the developing roll 41 and bias voltage (Vc) to have the toner transferred to the developing roll side is fed to the feeding roll 42 side making use of a difference in potential with the developing bias voltage. Current control is carried out so that current ICONST made to flow between the developing roll 41 and the feeding roll 42 is constant so that the voltage imparted on the toner layer between the developing roll and the feeding roll due to the difference in potential is kept within a specified range. Thus, the voltage imparted on the toner layer can be maintained to be constant and fed quantity of the toner can be stabilized.
