PURPOSE: To eliminate the excess moisture in the inside of a device, toner in the device and a toner layer by providing a moisture absorption means in a developing device as to the electrophotographic developing device.
CONSTITUTION: The moisture absorption means 20 constituted so that silicagel 7 is wrapped by a foaming body 9' such as a sponge or a moisture permeable material such as a Japanese paper 10 having smaller pores than toner grain size is provided in a developer holding container 3. By the absorption means 20, the excess moisture in the inside of the container 3, the toner 6 in the container 3 and the toner layer 11 is eliminated without affecting the performance of the toner. Besides, the absorption means 20 is arranged in contact with one or more members constituting the developing device.
