To provide a developing machine or a film transfer device capable of efficiently performing film processing such as development with respect to films being different in length.
The developing machine includes: a pair of front stage rollers including the first roller and the second roller coming into contact with each other and rotating; a pair of rear stage rollers including the third roller and the fourth roller coming into contact with each other and rotating; and a first intermediate unit having one set or more of a pair of intermediate rollers constituted by two intermediate rollers provided between the pair of front stage rollers and the pair of rear stage rollers, rotating based on rotating force of the pair of front stage rollers and the pair of rear stage rollers, and coming into contact with each other and rotating. The first intermediate unit is attachable/detachable to/from the pair of front stage rollers and the pair of rear stage rollers, is attached to the pair of front stage rollers and the pair of rear stage rollers when performing the film processing including at least one out of development, fixation, and cleaning by water, concerning the film being shorter than the interaxial distance between the pair of front stage rollers and the pair of rear stage rollers, and is used to transfer a film from the pair of front stage rollers to the pair of rear stage rollers.
