Abstract:
To provide an inexpensive developing roller having a high magnetic characteristic and a highly precise main polar section.
A magnetic block 54 has a multilayer structure composed of five layers 1 to 5. Each layer is made by compressing a small amount of rare earth magnet powder so as to obtain a high density multilayer block having good moldability. During the molding of the magnet block, the layers are densely filled up with a lower pressure to realize a developing roller having high magnetic characteristic and a highly precise main pole section with high productivity at a low cost.
