Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device for adjusting cell gap and a method for sealing liquid crystal injection port of liquid crystal cell capable of continuously executing a cell gap adjusting and liquid crystal injection port sealing of the liquid crystal cell.
CONSTITUTION: This device includes a liquid crystal cell transporting mechanism !0 which transports the liquid crystal cells 1 subjected to vacuum injection of liquid crystal in the horizontal direction in the state of vertically holding the cells, a cell gap adjusting mechanism 26 which is arranged on the lower side of this liquid crystal cell transporting mechanism 20 and adjusts the cell gaps while horizontally moving the liquid crystal cells 1 and a liquid crystal injection port sealing mechanism 38 which is arranged on the upper side of the liquid crystal cell transporting mechanism 20 opposite to this cell gap adjusting mechanism 26 and seals the liquid crystal injection ports 9 of the liquid crystal cells 1 subjected to cell gap adjustment by the cell gap adjusting mechanism 26.
