Abstract:
PURPOSE: To widen the space for constructing timbering for primary sheathing so as to enhance the working efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: A timbering holding mechanism 5 in which an arcuate timbering member 41a is clamped and fixed between a timbering receiving member 7 and a rotary member 8 having a screw rod 9 adapted to be extended and retracted through handle operation, is coupled to a hydraulic jack 2 attached to the inner peripheral surface of the upper part of a rear barrel 12 of a tunnel excavator 1, through the intermediary of a coupling member 14. The timbering member 41a is fed into the timbering holding mechanism 5 by means of an erector mechanism 30.
