Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix an interference surface for creating interference fringes with a high contrast ratio and for increasing measurement stability and at the same time simplify the initial setting of a measurement system in a method for calibrating a vibration pick-up using the Michelson type interferometer.
SOLUTION: An optical wedge made of a transparent material with an inclination surface is provided so that it can be rotated within a laser beam 6 between a beam splitter 2 and a mirror (being fixed on the end face of a vibration pickup) 4a in the Michaelson type light wave interferometer, the optical wedge is rotated and operated for generating interference fringes with a high contrast ratio on a surface for receiving the reflection light of a beam splitter 2, thus improving measurement stability and simplifying the initial setting of a measurement system.
